Let it be said, “she was a voice.”

“Listen to mothers

who grieve and weep

listen to the

caregiving bodies

who wail

want more

something different

better

Listen to mothers

and watch an entire

generation

rise up

bless all that is broken”

We can re/shape how we mother, give (care) and grieve for generational impact

Jennifer is a memoirist, grief doula, educator, advocate and story keeper honoring the spiritual lives and mental health of caregiving bodies at the intersection of disability, pain, identity and motherhood. Both her heart and voice lift up the way a complicated life re/shapes us & how we can re/shape it, with love & support.

As a person who has occupied complicated and complex spaces since childhood, I know first hand what it is like to question absolutely everything. In certain moments, days, seasons and times, nothing seems to make sense. I was only 8 years old when I experienced my first substantial loss. And, it was only a few short years later when my body began to experience life limiting disharmonies from physical illness to what became chronic pain. My time in spaces where the female form was taught love-as-sacrifice only strengthened the war going on in my body, mind and soul. And yet here, I’ve still been able to find solid ground. It is because of my her-story that I sit with you today in some of the most challenging life spaces.

We matter, darling soul.

Stay up to date.

  • May the earth shake as we come to our feet; blessed bodies re/claiming peace in all that is wild.

  • The way you live out your story matters.

  • Because you exist, the world can be a better, safer and more loving place.

  • If you are undoing years of overdoing, may you know this work is absolutely and totally sacred.

  • There is no one experience of pain and hardship that gets to be the hardest.

  • If you want to change a life, start with loving your own.
